WEEK 1: Kitchen Karma
Do you ever feel like you just can’t find what you need in your kitchen? Are you overwhelmed by that bottomless drawer full of cooking utensils? Can’t seem to locate the matching lids to your pots and pans? SmartlySorted is here to help!
I am going to walk you through the 3-step process I use with my clients to help you get your kitchen sorted out once and for all.
Step 1/Week 1: Edit!
We are all guilty of holding on to kitchen items or appliances that we no longer use. Remember the juicer you bought for your 2010 New Year’s Resolution? Or the mandolin (with all the attachments) you got when you wanted to make your own potato chips? Sound familiar?
Take time to go through your drawers of spatulas and whisks, and cupboards of pots and pans and remove unnecessary items from your collection. This could mean getting rid of the blender with missing buttons, or one of the fifteen wooden mixing spoons you have some how acquired.
Not big on throwing things away? Have no fear! Set the items you no longer need aside to bring to your local Salvation Army or Soup Kitchen.
Don’t freak out! It’s not a small job – take your time and be thoughtful about the process. Schedule yourself a Kitchen Edit Marathon, or do 2 or 3 cabinets each day. Keep your eyes peeled, next Monday we will go over Step 2! We can do it together!
